Job Profile Summary
The Vice President (VP) of Finance for Beacon Mobility’s New England Region is a key strategic and operational leadership role responsible for driving financial excellence across a complex, multi-site transportation business. This individual will oversee regional financial operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, support operational decision-making, and provide critical analysis that drives performance, profitability, and long-term growth. The VP of Finance will serve as a key business partner to the Senior Vice President and other key leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function for the region, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
Serve as a strategic advisor to regional leadership, offering insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and support business growth.
P&L Management
Own full P&L accountability for the New England Region.
Monitor performance against budget and key financial KPIs; identify and act on areas of financial risk and opportunity.
Provide guidance and insight into revenue optimization, cost control, and margin improvement.
Operational Finance & Reporting
Prepare timely, accurate, and actionable financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
Develop and maintain a reliable cash flow projection process that ensures adequate liquidity while maximizing efficiency.
Support the region with pricing strategies, contract analysis, and scenario modeling.
Compliance & Controls
Ensure all financial practices align with GAAP and Beacon Mobility’s internal policies.
Oversee adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Collaborate with corporate finance and audit teams to strengthen internal controls and compliance efforts.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service to the business.
Provide coaching and career development opportunities to build a high-performing finance team.
Cross-functional Partnership
Collaborate with Operations, HR, Procurement, and Fleet teams to ensure financial alignment across departments.
Support strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, integrations, and system improvements.
Additional Duties
Participate in enterprise-wide finance projects as assigned.
Represent the region in corporate financial discussions and decision-making processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in a multi-location or transportation-related organization.
At least 3 years of direct team management experience.
Proven experience managing P&L responsibilities and driving business results.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience with ERP systems, financial modeling tools, and dashboard reporting platforms.
Ability to travel within the region as needed.
