Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Director, Project Management for our Hospitality Team. This position will be expected to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated project(s) to ensure that the goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the necessary duties personally or through supervising direct reports’ activities. The Senior Director is also responsible for profitability, labor productivity, and volume goals, both projections and actuals. The ideal candidate will have robust Hospitality experience, specifically the Mountain Resort typology, along with strong industry connections and tenured people management experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposals for Cumming scope, schedule, staffing, and fee. 

  • Function independently as trusted business partner within senior leadership. 

  • Oversee multiple simultaneous pursuits or large projects/programs. 

  • Generate client relationships organically.

  • Provide suggestions to Cumming senior leadership on project management operations as well as company, regional, and sector goal setting.

  • Responsible for project accounts receivables and invoicing.

  • Responsible for P&L oversight and revenue generation as agreed with senior or executive leadership.

  • Team management to include interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining team members. 

  • Coach, mentor, and nurture the professional development of all assigned personnel while providing expertise in all phases of construction work.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of project compliance and how to effectively incorporate into the project. 

  • Ability to effectively represent Cumming business goals and objectives.

  • Experience creating and maintaining positive client relationships.

  • Experience coaching, mentoring and leading the career growth and development of multiple team members.

  • Provide input on functional strategies and lead execution by designing programs.

  • Proactively influence changes; thinking through issue trends and scalable solutions that further organizational goals.

  • Identify and drive accountabilities.

  • Nurture regional/global team member and client relationships.

  • Identify resources to keep current and network externally.

  • Mentor/develop key team members (may be outside chain of command).

  • Proven expertise level of knowledge in all phases of construction work.

  • Demonstrate ability to coach team members effectively.

  • Proven ability to address team member and client complaints and resolve problems.

  • Solid Business Development and revenue growth history.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience: 15+ years of PM experience overall, including managing a PM team. Completion of multiple Mountain Resport projects is a requirement for this position.

Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED

The salary range for this full-time role is $168,300.00-$235,633.37 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
