About the Role
The Director of E-commerce role will define the vision and strategy for our digital presence, driving sustainable growth, and delivering exceptional online experiences. The ideal candidate has deep experience in the customer journey from acquisition to conversion, thrives in team leadership, excels at multitasking, and is highly organized.
Strategy & Team Management
- Develop and execute a digital commerce strategy to drive revenue growth, differentiate the brand, and meet consumer needs.
- Build and lead a high-performing ecommerce team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a data driven approach.
- Oversee all email marketing, SMS campaigns, and loyalty programs to drive long-term customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
- Align with cross-functional teams on product launches, promotions, and key initiatives.
- Manage external partnerships for web development, UX/UI, and technology solutions.
- Leverage data analytics to track KPIs, refine strategies, and improve performance across websites and phone apps.
- Identify new revenue streams, including international expansion, and marketplace opportunities.
User Experience
- Oversee digital product development and testing to enhance the shopping experience with innovative features and content.
- Conduct user research and analyze customer behavior to optimize the shopping journey and increase conversions.
- Lead team in best practices that optimize product listings, descriptions, and images for better conversion rates.
- Improve site navigation, search functionality, and category management based on data insights.
- Enhance UX through personalization, loyalty programs, and automated engagement strategies.
- Lead a team of ecommerce merchandisers to optimize customer experience.
Marketing & Growth
- Lead on-site and optimize SEO to enhance visibility, search rankings and boost organic traffic.
- Analyze key performance metrics, including CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), LTV (Lifetime Value), ROAS, and conversion rates to refine growth strategies.
- Use customer segmentation and personalization strategies to enhance targeting and maximize retention.
- Use data-driven insights to enhance campaign effectiveness, reduce acquisition costs, and maximize ROI.
Requirements
- 8+ years of eCommerce experience, driving growth and innovation.
- Proven track record with high-growth DTC brands; experience with large brands is a plus.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset to optimize performance.
- Expertise in Shopify, Google Analytics, AI and eCommerce technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in growth and retention marketing a plus.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities, fostering high-performing teams.
