POSITION SUMMARY
The position reports to VP, Program Management. This role will work closely with Program Team Leaders to drive the development and execution of high-quality, global, integrated cross-functional program plans that enable overall program strategy. Scientific competency and drug development knowledge are essential for this role to interact with cross-functional stakeholders, contribute to drug development strategy, and eventually translate the strategy into execution. The role also involves contributing to Structure Therapeutics' growth through championing organizational initiatives and requires strong PM operations experience. This role is preferably based in South San Francisco and requires 3 days in the office, however, working remotely will be considered for the right candidate and the individual will be required to be come to SSF/HQ 1 week a month.


We are looking for a collaborative, positive, self-driven individual with the ability to work seamlessly within a cross-section of the company. The successful candidate will exhibit strong PM technical expertise, leadership, and drug development skills, and a willingness to work both strategically and hands-on. As the company grows, we require individuals who can work seamlessly within cross-functional teams that combine internal staff, contractors, consultants, and other external resources to deliver against aggressive development timelines.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with the Program Team Leader, lead and manage the development of pipeline assets
  • Drive large organizational process improvement initiatives and utilize technology and tools to enhance work efficiency
  • Accountable for managing all program timelines, dashboards, and tracking deliverables
  • Drive program decision-making processes and coordinate with the team or functions to identify and resolve program or resource issues
  • Guide program teams through development stages while ensuring transparent, cross-functional communication of program progress
  • Monitor scheduling or resourcing issues and opportunities and recommend activities prioritization
  • Develop risk management plans and regularly evaluate and communicate the probability and impact of risks to program deliverables
  • Support portfolio prioritization, program budget development, tracking, and variance management
  • As necessary, challenge teams by providing disconfirming information and encourage innovative problem-solving


REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • B.S. degree or higher in life sciences or related disciplines

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience within the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare-related field, with a minimum of 8 years in a lead PM role for a drug development program
  • Solid understanding of all aspects of drug development and commercialization
  • Late-stage development and filing experience is highly desirable
  • Proficient in project management principles and tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, and other project visualization software
  • End-to-end experience in managing organizational initiatives
  • Self-motivated and highly flexible individual who is able to manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Strong understanding of technology and tools for collaboration and work efficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Independent, motivated team member with experience in a matrix environment
  • Direct experience in cardio-metabolic therapy areas is a plus

Licenses or Certifications

  • PMP certification will be a plus, but not required

Travel

  • Regular on-site presence in South San Francisco, or travel during critical team meetings
  • Occasional national or international travel to meetings, congresses, training, etc. not more that 10% of the time


The target salary range for this full-time role is $213,000 - $256,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Structure Therapeutics determines salary ranges based on the level and scope of responsibilities, as well as location. Individual pay is further determined by additional factors, including relevant experience, specific job skills, education, and training.
