Opportunity Overview: Teen Director
Oversees the Teen Drop-in Center and teen targeted programs. Ensures an outcome driven club experience in our three priority areas: Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles. Leads a broad range of quality youth development programs which promote physical activity, pro-social engagement, community service, career and academic development. Ensures teen staff implement programs which utilize the 5 Key Elements of Youth Development:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain regular contact with Club Director, Club staff, Club members and parents, to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions. The Teen Director is expected to collaborate effectively with peers and other staff internally, across Boy & Girls Clubs of King County (BGCKC) organization and as needed with Boys & Girls Club of America and larger community to increase effectiveness and engagement with teens in our community.
External: Establish & maintain contact and good public relations with external community groups, schools, members’ parents/guardians, building and community partners and others as necessary to maintain and grow a successful teen program.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
LICENSE/CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS:
HOURS: Regular Part - Time Position Averaging 30 Hours Per Week
LOCATION: Southwest Boys & Girls Club
SALARY: $25.50 - $27.86 Per Hour
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt

This position works in an office, and the noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, i.e. copier toner.
