Job Responsibilities
Leverage deep experience in the Alternative Investment Services industry, with a focus on Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Funds.
Strong knowledge of Subchapter K rules is essential.
Lead and oversee technical review of tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, S-Corporations, and C-Corporations, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.
Identify and drive tax planning opportunities throughout the year, developing tailored strategies that align with client business goals.
Lead growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities, expanding service offerings, and participating in marketing and networking efforts to attract and retain clients within the alternative investments market.
Spearhead the development of new service delivery channels and capabilities to meet evolving market demands.
Partner with leadership to define and implement the practice's strategic objectives, budgets, and long-term goals.
Represent the firm as a recognized authority in Alternative Investment tax. Publish thought leadership content and participate as a speaker at industry conferences.
Provide high-level consultation on complex business and individual tax transactions, assessing tax implications and advising on optimal structures.
Oversee IRS audits, notices, and inquiries, managing responses to ensure timely resolution and minimizing client risk.
Lead and manage large-scale engagements, ensuring profitability, efficiency, and sustainability of client relationships.
Mentor and develop senior staff, coaching them on client engagements and their career progression within the firm.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture that drives client satisfaction and internal growth.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline
Qualified to practice before the IRS (i.e, JD. CPA, or EA)
Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience
Minimum of 4 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members
Extensive experience with a wide variety of entity types, with a strong preference for partnerships, and a demonstrated ability to manage high-level tax planning and compliance for diverse clients
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation
A subject matter expert in a specific area of taxation

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $180,000 - $310,000. For Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $175,000 - $300,000. For New York residents, the compensation range for this position: $175,000 - $300,000. For Washington residents, the compensation range for this position: $175,000 - $300,000. For Illinois residents, the compensation range for this position: $155,000 - $250,000. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $155,000 - $255,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
