Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Strategic Operations will work closely with the C-suite on special assignments and projects related to enhancing business operations, supporting strategic initiatives, or building capability. The Director of Strategic Operations will act as key operations leader across the organization to drive strategic initiatives that promote UUG’s Mission and Vision with a keen focus on developing programs to drive patient access, clinical quality, and physician and patient satisfaction.  This leader will also be asked to participate in projects that support the broader strategy of the organization and will be asked to collaborate across the executive leadership team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Management and execution of strategic process/operational initiatives as developed in conjunction with senior team (e.g., new service lines/ancillary services development and operations, operational efficiency, market strategy, process improvement, etc.).
• Managing ad hoc operational issues/challenges at the direction of the COO.
• Supporting strategic initiatives through presentations/discussions across the Company, in company leadership meetings, and other company-wide forums.
• Driving outcomes cross-functionally to build consensus and execute to meet deadlines and targeted results.
• Maintain and prioritize pipeline of opportunities to drive efficiency and productivity across the company.
• Works with functional leaders to assess and prioritize ideas and ensure clear timing and ownership are established for all projects pursued.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
• Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm preferred.
• Experience with Physician Practice Management preferred within the healthcare services/provider services landscape.
• Solid business acumen, ideally with previous experience in healthcare-focused businesses and/or private equity ownership.
• Demonstrated experience as a successful, influential leader across matrix teams.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability balanced with sound business judgment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and executive-level EQ skills.
• Judgment and discretion; integrity.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner to managers and executives utilizing email, self-developed PowerPoint decks & Excel models, oral communications, etc.
• Great partner to the COO, CEO, and entire management team.
• Strong presence and communication skills that will be valuable in board meetings and a sales process.
• Appropriate expertise in financial modeling and written presentations, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Extensive experience across consulting and operational roles.
• Experience involving acquisitions, sale processes, and international operations is a plus.
• Experience and ability to model and synthesize complex financial analysis, operational, and KPI data into concise presentations and decision frameworks.

• Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within our national geographic footprint.

Physical Requirements for the Job:

• Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.

• Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
