Description

The Regional Director of Retail and Brand Sales will manage a set territory and sell private label and blank apparel programs to affinity brands, music companies, and promotional companies where a value-added service can be applied to our inline blank apparel. This role is responsible for leading, and selling complete custom garments where we can utilize inline fabrics. The Director will develop business, retain, and service clients in their specified geographic region.

  • Ensure year-over-year growth and achievement of regional sales goals.
  • Manage, nurture, and maintain relationships with existing customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; respond to all inquiries, requests, and resolve any issues that may arise post-sale in a timely and professional manner.
  • Serve as liaison between client companies and operations staff.
  • Proactively provide feedback to the business on improvements to our sales and marketing strategy
  • Monitor regional operating and expense budgets to ensure compliance and optimal use of resources.
  • Translate NLA’s corporate objectives and business insights and analytics into specific, measurable, and executable action plans for direct reports.
  • Secure meetings with companies to engage in discussions about private label apparel opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations team, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
  • Collaborate with other departments on developing pricing and promotions.
  • Gather information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicate information to management and others as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts and work agreements.
  • Ensure all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship issues.
  • Participate in business and trade events that impact business unit.
  • Participate in team strategic sales meetings.
  • Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement.
  • Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, a related field, or equivalent specific experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales and negotiations.
  • Excellent written, negotiation, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and other appropriate software.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative collaborator.
  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical, project management, mathematical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Excellent Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to travel, nationally and internationally, as necessary
