Schedule: Full-time | 80 hours per pay period | Monday-Friday | 8 am – 4:30 pm

Scope:

  • Oversee daily operations and financial activities of the housing portfolio, ensuring operational efficiency, accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Implement systems to monitor performance, manage budgets, and maintain financial oversight for housing-related transactions.
  • Ensure exceptional resident services by developing and implementing programs to enhance the resident experience.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the housing portfolio, identify growth opportunities, and align operations with the overall strategic direction of KNWM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction to the housing operations team, overseeing property management, maintenance, leasing, and resident services. Develop and implement policies and best practices to optimize property performance and enhance efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Develop cost management strategies and revenue generation plans to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational and financial risks, and oversee audits and inspections to maintain high standards of compliance.

  • Resident and Community Relations: Foster positive relationships with residents and enhance their satisfaction. Lead programs to improve the resident experience and promote community engagement, collaborating with stakeholders to address housing needs.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities. Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, promoting diversity and inclusion.

  • Other Duties as Assigned: Support special projects as needed by senior leadership. Attend training and meetings as required, representing KNWM positively in the community.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in housing operations, property management, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, real estate management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of property management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align operational strategies with organizational goals.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Physical capability to perform job duties.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and visitors.
