Position Summary:
Responsible to assure that all project requirements, specifications, procedures are in place and the supporting documentation is in order and correct. Use standard measuring equipment to perform inspections of fabricated parts; perform various dimensional and visual inspections of materials and products and report results of inspections.
Primary Duties:
- Overlook and assist with all aspects of receiving inspection including visual, dimensional, and documentation inspections.
- Ensure that correct latest revision information is provided to Production Personnel.
- Perform First Article Inspection of bent tubes including orientation, visual, and dimensional inspections.
- Utilize sampling plans as required by the specification.
- Conduct final inspection of completed assemblies including orientation, visual, dimensional inspections, hardware, label, and special process requirements.
- Perform documentation inspection of completed Production Packets.
- Detect, identify, and segregate non-conforming product. Elaborate Non-conforming reports.
- Check time clock for completeness and accuracy.
- Backup inspection records daily.
- Maintain cleanliness of all inspection equipment.
- Ensure all orders are inspected and shipped in time to comply with customer’s requirements.

Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or at least two years of related experience.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification or the ability to obtain certification within Six months of date of hire.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with various dimensional inspection tools and equipment, including but not limited to micrometers, dial gages, pin gages, tape measures, calipers, height gages, thickness gages, and surface roughness equipment.
- Knowledge of using a CMM and interpreting CMM reports. Experience with using CMM measuring arms a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and capability of interpreting engineering drawings as well as applicable specifications.
- Knowledge of pertinent customer/company specifications and international standards.
- Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package, with a willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed.
- Work environment mainly office, but may vary including: warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements, office work, manufacturing, machine shops, agricultural operations, and any other specific business operations of current or potential vendors and customers.

Salary:
$24-$27/hour, commensurate with skills and experience.
