Summary/Objective

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for monitoring the quality of processes and products during
the manufacturing stages. Their duties include, but are not limited to examining incoming material, first
articles, measuring specifications, inspecting and testing finished goods as well as auditing certain
processes to ensure the standards are met.

• Complete inspection of incoming materials per engineering drawings, specifications, and Quality
Inspection Plans.
• Complete and review First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Work closely with other teams such as Assembly, Fabrication, Warehouse and Engineering.
• Assisting in the development of test methods and inspection plans.
• Perform manufacturing in-process and final inspections and testing per inspection plans as
required.
• Support new product development activities as needed.
• Proposing improvements to the production process
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Competency

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Must be motivated and work with minimal supervision in a start-up fast-paced environment.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), email, and other common
programs.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Troubleshooting skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Computer and math skills
• Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers and computers.
• In-depth understanding of company standards
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift to 40 pounds.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not require supervising other employees.

Work Environment

This job operates mostly in the fabrication floor and warehouse. This role routinely uses standard office
equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This job
requires walking 90% of the time. This would require the ability to lift package and parts to be inspected
and bend or stand for long periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30
p.m.

Required Education and Experience

1. Minimum of 4 years of Inspection experience, preferably in assembly processes.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience handling basic electronic devices or electro mechanical
assemblies and debugging failures.
3. High School and/or Technical School graduate.
4. Must be able to communicate clearly in English including the ability to read and comprehend
simple instructions, and memos; the ability to write simple correspondence; the ability to
effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of
the organization.
5. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, well as the ability to
apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Occasional overtime may be required.
