Description

 We are seeking a highly skilled Project Operations Solution Architect to join our team. This role is critical in designing and implementing scalable, high-performing project management solutions tailored to our clients' needs. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations or similar Project Service solutions is imperative for success in this role. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and support implementation while ensuring seamless integration with ERP, CRM, and third-party applications. 


Key Roles & Responsibilities


Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Design end-to-end solutions that align with client requirements, project goals, and business processes.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures for project management solutions, often leveraging platforms like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
  • Ensure the solution integrates seamlessly with other systems, including ERP, CRM, and third-party applications.

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and functional requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and solution blueprints.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify areas where existing solutions need customization or enhancement.

Technology and Tool Expertise:

  • Recommend the right tools, technologies, and frameworks for project service solutions.
  • Ensure solutions are compliant with industry standards and best practices.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in project management and professional services automation (PSA).

Project Planning and Delivery Support:

  • Work closely with Project Managers to define project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership during solution implementation, ensuring alignment with architectural designs.
  • Develop proof of concepts (POCs) to validate solutions before full-scale deployment.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a bridge between business teams and technical teams, ensuring mutual understanding.
  • Present solution designs and technical concepts to clients and stakeholders in a clear, non-technical manner.
  • Facilitate workshops and design sessions to gather feedback and refine solutions.

Customization and Configuration:

  • Configure and customize project service solutions to meet unique client needs.
  • Develop workflows, automation, and integrations using APIs, custom code, or low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Ensure customizations maintain system stability, scalability, and security.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Define testing strategies for system validation (unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing).
  • Identify and mitigate risks during implementation by conducting thorough testing.
  • Ensure documentation of test cases and results.

Documentation and Training:

  • Create detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, workflows, and data models.
  • Prepare user guides and conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to support teams for post-implementation support.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect, ideally within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations or related ERP/CRM solutions. Ability to elicit and understand both technical and functional requirements
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Operations, including its modules for Project Management,
  • Financial Management, Resource Management, and Time and Expense Tracking.
  • Strong understanding of Dynamics Project Service architecture, configuration and customizations. As well as deep understanding of integration patterns and practices for Dynamics 365 with third-party systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, and financial systems).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure)
