Perficient has a career opportunity for a Product Owner to join our Product Development business unit. This Product Owner role will be a strategic role within the Perficient organization working on best practices and execution of the Product Operating Model (POM). They will work with their client on defining their strategic initiatives, product roadmaps and/or transformation models.  

The Product Owner role will focus on leading client interactions with stakeholders and leaders, understanding where the organization is today in their journey and putting together a plan for transformation and optimization.  This role will be a product and people leader, mentor, coach and strategic thinker.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders, clients, and product teams to document current state and understand opportunities for transformation
  • Lead assessments and capture recommendations to transform from current state to the next state as needed
  • Conduct Interviews and document current state needs
  • Compile and maintain best practice documentation (Center of Excellence) that can be utilized in engagements
  • Lead the vision for transformation opportunity and change management 
  • Develop deep knowledge of internal and external customers, formulating hypotheses & advocating product direction and roadmap
  • Write robust backlog items including epics, features, user stories etc. That show your understanding of the product, the technical considerations, personas and acceptance criteria 
  • Act as the subject matter expert for your product; including awareness of the related technology stack and how the market and the customers use and extract business value from your product(s)
  • Define product roadmaps and drive Planning Increment objectives
  • Assess risks and benefits of product enhancements and gain alignment with stakeholders, clients, and product managers
  • Analyze product metrics and define continuous improvement initiatives to increase the Product’s business value
  • Introduce new approaches and tool sets that will allow the product development team to better understand the solution criteria and requirements.


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of working experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Product Leader, Coach
  • 2+ years of consulting industry experience, with strong relationship management, and account management experience
  • Experience with software delivery lifecycle (SDLC) 
  • Highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high quality products
  • Experience working directly with user experience research, architecture, development and QA team members.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and the Product Operating Model 
  • Ability to define high-level business objectives and drive product roadmaps
  • Comfort engaging with executive stakeholders in dialogue regarding product vision and business enablement
  • Ability to work with leaders with differing opinions and priorities, professionally engaging in open dialogue to understand perspectives, facilitate alignment, and drive inclusive decision-making that ensures progress and supports team goals.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with identifying and reporting on key performance indicators to help visualize efficacy of product enhancements
  • Expertise in product backlog tools such as Rally, Jira or Azure DevOps.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974 to $149,880. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential equity or variable bonus programs.
