Job Summary

Booking.com BV is looking for a Payments Operations Specialist to join our Pay Outs Team, part of P2P in Amsterdam. You will effectively complete all payment processes from payments to vendors, affiliates, tax and intercompany entities, to monitoring the instructions are successfully executed and reconciled. 

B.Responsible

The Payments Operations Specialist is responsible for the following tasks:

 

  • Prepare all reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP and covering the Sox framework
  • Process pay-outs to vendors, affiliates, tax and intercompany entities 
  • Ensure payments are processed in a timely manner
  • Reconcile transactions with accuracy and in a timely manner, assist with the month end closing processes
  • Proactively work with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on processes and share knowledge and best practice 
  • Identify and follow-up on process opportunities directly impacting daily activities within the team
  • Support with team projects for process innovation and improvement, actively test and implement new tools and software
  • Support the Finance teams to live its vision and take steps in accordance with the roadmap and departmental objectives. 
  • Build effective connections with key stakeholders within the Finance Department and IT teams
  • Proactively maintain and develop technical knowledge in order to execute tasks effectively
  • Ability to work together as a team and independently
  • Must be able to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Team player with a hands-on attitude and problem solving capabilities

B.Skilled

  • 2+ years of relevant job experience in Finance Operations
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong communication skills - fluency in English is a must-have
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Excel
  • Experience working with SAP is a must for this position
  • Open-minded and flexible attitude
