Position Summary:
The Operations Performance Analyst is responsible for ensuring operational performance and consistency across the organization. This role supports and collaborates with the Area Operations Performance Manager, Regional Vice President, Site General Managers, Fleet Managers, Operations Managers, and Route Managers to improve efficiency, maintain safety standards, and drive operational effectiveness. Experienced Route Managers or Operations Managers encouraged to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in projects to improve labor efficiency through routing optimization and personnel analysis.
- Help manage key initiatives such as route conversions (e.g., REL to ASL) and container upsizing.
- Assist in Tracking and report on regular and overtime hours for drivers, helpers, technicians, and hourly office staff.
- Operational Processes and Best Practices
- Assist in Implementing company initiatives to standardize processes and improve operational consistency.
- Provide leadership and system training to field personnel.
- Provide support in purchasing decisions for trucks, containers, and other equipment through financial analysis.
- Review and analyze site Profit & Loss statements as applicable to operations and present findings to senior leadership.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets in collaboration with General Managers and the Regional Vice President.
- Compile, analyze, and report on key operational data to identify areas for improvement.
- Help manage operational metrics, including payroll, maintenance, temp labor, route efficiency, and phone statistics.
- Oversee safety protocols for the collection business, including DOT hours, 3rd Eye observations, and compliance reporting.
- Review driver video coaching events with area management.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and consistent operations while supporting the organization's overall goals.
Job Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, environmental science, or a related field preferred.
Experience and Competencies:
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in Operations, preferably in the solid waste, recycling, or environmental services industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented approach and the ability to work independently.
