As a Development Director at Monte Christo Communities your job is to Help People Live Life to the Fullest.


The Development Director’s role has three key responsibilities: Team Development, Resident Relations and Investment Stewardship.

What you will do on a daily basis:

  • Manage a portfolio of 24 properties in Oregon, northwest California, and northeast Washington.
  • Overseeing the work of Regional Managers managing regions of approximately 4-8 properties each.
  • Manage the Profit and Loss of your assigned portfolio.
  • Solve problems.
  • Navigate legal and regulatory environment of Mobile Home and RV Parks.
  • Increase occupancy and stabilize communities.
  • Respond to utility outages and manage response to limit downtime and disruption to Residents.
  • Coordinate short and long-range projects to increase the value of parks.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance coaching.
  • Provide regular reports regarding park performance.
  • Travel as needed to communities to follow up on execution of priorities or to support the field team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (preferred, but not required)
  • Experience driving operations and financial performance including profit and loss responsibility.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Planning and organization skills to facilitate goal setting
  • Innovative mindset to create new, effective solutions
  • Exceptional leadership skills to effectively lead managers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
