Position Summary

The University of Denver Sturm College of Law seeks applications from candidates at the rank of Professor of Law to serve as Director of The Ved Nanda Center for International and Comparative Law. One of the nation’s preeminent academic centers dedicated to the study and advancement of international law, The Nanda Center promotes teaching, research, and external engagement in the fields of public and private international law, supports an ambitious set of conferences and lectures, and advances cross-disciplinary inquiry and collaboration, including with the University’s internationally recognized Josef Korbel School of International Studies.

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. and/or Ph.D. degrees (or their equivalents).
  • Outstanding academic qualifications.
  • Relevant professional experience in law and/or international affairs.
  • A track record of visionary leadership.
  • A commitment to inclusive pedagogy.
  • A strong commitment to advancing the role of international law in global affairs. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A track record of professional contributions in the realms of scholarship, teaching, and public engagement.

The salary grade for the position is UC.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $240,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
