The Oregon Clinic has a new opportunity for a proactive and innovative leader. In support and execution of The Oregon Clinic’s mission and strategy, the Director of Ancillary Services Development will spearhead new and strategic ancillary growth in addition to overseeing existing ancillary services such as ASCs, laboratory, and physical therapy. The Director identifies new ancillary needs, promotes utilization and expansion, while ensuring efficient operations and quality patient care. The Director is part of our senior, administrative leadership team supporting TOC’s mission and focusing on optimizing overall healthcare delivery.
Essential Functions will include:
Strategic Planning and Innovation:
- Explores and follows through on beneficial new and expanded ancillary service opportunities, from idea generation through implementation. Includes working with physicians, TOC leadership and others to grow ancillary services that enhance patient experience, generate revenue and/or provide cost saving opportunities.
- Developing and implementing strategic plans for ancillary services to align with the organization's goals.
- Establishing operational policies and procedures for each ancillary department to ensure quality and compliance.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop market analysis and proformas for new and expanded ancillary services.
- Managing departmental budgets, monitoring expenses, and identifying and implementing cost-saving and efficiency opportunities. Evaluating pricing strategies.
- Analyzing financial performance data to track revenue generation and ensure financial targets are met.
Quality Assurance, Service Improvement, and Compliance:
- Implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery using quality metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identifying opportunities to implement new ancillary technologies or services to improve efficiency and patient experience.
- Monitoring compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements within ancillary departments.
Staff Leadership and Development:
- Fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork among staff.
- Responsible for management and development of staff, directly or indirectly including delegation and mentorship.
Teamwork: Management, Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborating with physicians and leaders to promote ancillary services and identify beneficial new services.
- Establishing relationships with external vendors and resources to identify ancillary opportunities. Evaluating emerging trends in healthcare to identify potential areas for service expansion.
- Overseeing the operations of all ancillary departments, including staffing, effective follow through, and workflow optimization.
- Participating in research and development activities related to ancillary services.
Starting pay range, based on experience: $154,700 - $257,700 per year.
Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a healthcare setting with operational oversight of ancillary services. Success developing new ancillary business opportunities from idea generation through implementation.
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business or related field is strongly preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate outstanding collaboration, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Experience successfully building consensus among diverse groups and gain clear alignment on goals.
- Skill in managing complex projects from idea generation through implementation.
- Excellent management and leadership skills.
- Excellent written/ verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with physicians, other department leaders, external partners, and others.
