GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Deposit Operations Representative is responsible for day two validation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily interest check processing. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
2. Daily processing of return mail. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
3. Dormant account monitoring. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
4. Closed account verification. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
5. Charge Off processing. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
6. Deposit Collection Recovery. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
7. Charge off Dispute Research and Resolution. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
8. Ensure Regulatory Codes are accurate. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
9. Review accounts for correct postal identification. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
10. Reconciliation of internal accounts. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
11. Answer account verification requests. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
12. Answer and assist branches regarding processing exceptions and other deposit related questions. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
13. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
14. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned. This duty is performed as needed, about 10% of the time.
15. Club account check processing. This duty is performed annually, about 10% of the time.
16. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.Ā The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
