Hamilton-Madison House (HMH) is a nonprofit settlement house dedicated to improving the quality of life of its community, primarily the Two Bridges/Chinatown area of Manhattan's Lower East Side. The House provides a wide range of programs and services designed to enhance the quality of life for all residents of the Two Bridges/Chinatown area and throughout New York City’s five boroughs, including childcare, youth development, senior services, behavioral health services, and immigrant and community services. Position Overview
HMH is the leading provider of behavioral health services for New York City’s Asian community and the second largest provider in the country. HMH serves nearly 1,000 community members through a comprehensive program model that understands and incorporates the strengths of individual cultures and addresses the stigma related to mental illness. Services range from psychological services; personalized recovery-oriented services for individuals with mental illness; recovery programming for addiction in six languages and seven dialects; supportive housing for people with mental health issues; and training and internship opportunities for graduate students in social work, mental health counseling, and psychology. Our team of over 40 full-time and 16 part-time staff speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Cambodian.
The Assistant Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one of the House’s largest divisions. As part of this role, the Assistant Executive Director will supervise program managers, ensure the delivery of high-quality direct services, management and coordination of a comprehensive community behavioral health delivery system; oversee the division’s government contracts, and collaborate with the House’s finance and operations staff to ensure the effective use of the division’s human and financial resources. The Assistant Executive Director will think strategically about the division’s direction, creating new way ways to enhance programs and generate revenue. This person will report directly to the Executive Director and function as a key member of the House’s senior management team.

Salary Range: $120,000 to $140,000
Excellent benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 15 vacation days, 12 sick days, 3 personal days, and 12 paid agency-wide holidays. Depending on the role, HMH offers a flexible work schedule.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with some weekends required
